This rectangular adapter plate has two circular magnet pockets and two mounting holes. The holes connect your component to the adapter; the magnet side faces the steel mounting surface.
A practical project is a small sensor enclosure attached to the side of a steel storage cabinet. The enclosure can be repositioned or removed without adding mounting holes to the cabinet.

ASSEMBLY NOTES
Use suitable disc magnets and hardware. Verify pocket depth, magnet fit and screw clearance before assembly. Secure the magnets so they remain in the plate when it is removed.
Test resistance to both pulling and sliding on your actual mounting surface before relying on the mount.
