Description

A simple, clean, and practical universal wall mount for routers, modems, fiber ONTs, and other compact networking devices.

The mount is designed for devices up to approximately 180 mm wide and 32 mm thick. Four retaining arms keep the device securely positioned while the open design provides good airflow, easy cable access, and minimal obstruction around the device.

It is suitable for home networks, offices, network cabinets, structured wiring areas, workshops, or anywhere you want to keep networking equipment securely mounted and off a desk or floor.

  • Device height: Essentially unrestricted

The device is installed vertically, so its height extends above the mount and is not constrained by the bracket.

> Note: The 180 × 32 mm specification refers to the maximum device dimensions that can be accommodated by the holder. Actual fit may vary depending on the shape of the device.

🔩 Mounting Hardware

The wall mount is designed to work with commonly available mounting hardware.

Recommended hardware

  • 1 × 4 × 30 mm countersunk head screws
  • 1 × 6 × 30 mm nylon wall plugs suitable for 4 mm screws
  • 6 mm masonry drill bit for installing the wall plugs

The mounting holes are designed for countersunk screws, allowing the screw heads to sit neatly against the bracket.

This combination should be suitable for typical installations on:

  • Concrete
  • Brick
  • Masonry

Always select screws and wall plugs appropriate for your specific wall material and the weight of your networking device.

> ⚠️ For drywall, plasterboard, hollow brick, or other hollow wall constructions, use anchors specifically designed for that wall type instead of standard nylon masonry plugs.

🖨️ 3D Printing

The model is designed with FDM printing in mind and should be straightforward to print.

Suggested materials

  • PLA – perfectly suitable for most indoor installations
  • PETG – recommended if you want slightly more flexibility and impact resistance
  • ABS / ASA – also suitable

General recommendations

  • Print in the orientation shown in the model files
  • Supports should not normally be required
  • Use sufficient wall/perimeter thickness around the mounting points and retaining arms
  • Higher wall counts can improve the strength of the retaining arms

Exact slicer settings can be adjusted depending on your printer, nozzle size, and material.

🌬️ Open Design

The bracket intentionally uses a minimal open structure instead of enclosing the networking device.

This provides:

  • Good airflow around the router/ONT
  • Easy access to cables and connectors
  • Minimal obstruction of ventilation openings
  • Easy installation and removal
  • Reduced filament usage
  • Clean wall-mounted appearance

The four retaining arms prevent the device from sliding out while keeping most of the enclosure exposed.

Please measure your device before starting the print.

The two most important dimensions are:

Width ≤ 180 mm

Thickness ≤ 32 mm

Also check the location of:

  • Antennas
  • Ethernet ports
  • Fiber connectors
  • Power connectors
  • USB ports
  • Buttons
  • Rubber feet
  • Ventilation openings

These features may affect compatibility even when the overall dimensions are within the supported range.

Need a wider or thicker version?

Feel free to modify the design for your own router, modem, ONT, access point, switch, or other networking equipment.

The design is intentionally released without restrictive licensing so the community can adapt it to different devices and use cases.

If source CAD files are included with the download, they can also be used as a starting point for custom versions.
