Parametric Button Head Screw Generator (STEP, Customizable, CNC & 3D Printing)

Description
This is a parametric button head screw model generated using an automated CAD system.
Unlike fixed models, this screw is not a one-off design — it can be regenerated with different parameters.
Specifications of this model:
Thread size: [X] (M3–M16)
Thread length: [X] mm (1–40 mm, measured under the head)
Thread profile: [X] (fully threaded shank, or plain shank when thread generation is off)
Drive: Hexagon socket
Standard: Based on JIS B 1174:2017 (ISO 7380-1)
Use cases:
Low-profile fastening where a cap screw head would protrude
Enclosures, panels and covers
Robotics and 3D printer frames
CNC machinery
Mechanical design prototyping
⚙️ Generate your own button head screw (any parameters):

You can freely adjust:
Thread size (M3, M4, M5, M6, M8, M10, M12, M16)
Thread length (1–40 mm)
Thread generation (helical thread or plain shaft)
and instantly download a STEP file.
Why this matters:
Most models here are static.
This system allows you to generate exactly what you need.
Note:
Head diameter, head height, hexagon socket width and socket depth follow the standard dimension table for each thread size, so only the length and the thread option are free.
The dome is modelled as a single spherical cap passing through both the apex and the outer edge of the bearing surface, with its radius derived from the standard head diameter and height.
Thread length is offered as 1–40 mm for every size for consistency across the generators; this is a simplification for CAD reference use and does not match the commercial length range of the standard.
This is a reference implementation based on nominal dimensions; tolerances are not applied.
