Description

This project is a small, fully DIY desktop plotter designed and built using simple, affordable components and 3D-printed parts.

The machine is based on two sliding rails and six custom-designed 3D-printed parts, manufactured from HIPS+ filament. Motion is provided by three 28BYJ-48 stepper motors, each driven by a ULN2003 driver module and controlled by an Arduino Nano running a customized version of GRBL adapted specifically for these motors.

The entire mechanical assembly is built using only M3 screws and nuts, making the construction simple, accessible, and easy to reproduce without specialized hardware or machining.

The plotter is controlled through Universal Gcode Sender (UGS) 20260706, allowing standard G-code files to be sent directly to the machine.

The initial build files are available on Thingiverse, and additional files, improvements, documentation, and useful content for building and using the machine will be added progressively.

The goal of this project is to create a simple, low-cost, reproducible desktop plotter that can be built at home using readily available components and 3D printing.

More files and details will be coming soon. 🔧🖨️⚙️
