Cheap Yellow Display (CYD) Case -

Description
A sleek, dual-part 3D-printable enclosure designed to mount the Cheap Yellow Display (CYD / ESP32-2432S028) smart screen directly to a Creality Ender 3 V2 v-slot frame. Perfect for running a secondary touchscreen interface for Klipper (using DGUS-reloaded or Klipper-Touch) or home automation status panels.
This upload includes the complete Fusion 360 source archive (Cheap Yellow display Case.f3z) containing both the enclosure design and the reference screen board model so you can easily modify port layouts, mounts, or display angles.
Since this part is mounted directly on your printer's frame, printing it in PETG provides crucial heat resistance and strength. These settings are optimized for your Ender 3 V2's Micro Swiss Direct Drive Extruder:
Setting Recommended Value Why?
Nozzle Temp 240°C (Range: 235°C - 245°C) Ensures strong layer fusion for functional parts.
Bed Temp 80°C Good adhesion on PEI or glass (use glue stick on glass as a release agent!).
Retraction Distance 1.0 mm (Range: 0.8 - 1.2mm) Crucial: Direct drive needs low retraction. High values will clog the all-metal hotend with PETG.
Retraction Speed 35 mm/s - 40 mm/s Prevents stringing while maintaining smooth feeding.
Cooling Fan Speed 25% to 40% Keep fan low for strong layer bonding. Turn off for the first 3 layers.
Print Speed 40 - 50 mm/s Slower speed reduces stringing and improves finish quality.
Infill & Walls 20% Infill (Gyroid) / 3 - 4 Walls Adds strength around mounting tabs and screw holes.
