VW EOS rear camera mount

Here is a rear camera mount that I designed for my VW EOS.

This just fits in between the headrests, between the plastic and cloth.

I took my headrest off (not too difficult, the plastic headrest cover lifts up and out with a plastic pry tool under the plastic) I tucked any spare wire behind.

The dash-cam I have is a 70 mai A800se, it is a 1080p rear camera.

The camera dimensions are 26mm diameter 54mm long.

I printed the frame with a 0.4 nozzle with 4 walls @ 0.3 layer height with 15% infill.

The camera cover will need support, I printed mine at a 0.2 layer height, you should use a variable layer height if your slicer allows.

This needs to be printed in ABS / ASA or a material that will withstand the heat inside your car.

If you are fortunate enough to own a large bed printer, there is a file of the complete part.

I have also included a split version that will require 2 x 50mm long by 3mm diameter rods, and a bit of super glue.

You will need 2 x 3mm screw for fixing the camera cover on, you will also need to put 2 small pilot holes (just a hot needle will do) in to the front part for the screws.
