ChestView – Adjustable Phone Chest Mount

A hands-free phone mount for capturing a variety of first-person footage shot from the chest.

All parts can be fully 3D printed, excluding the straps; no extra metal tools or hardware required to assemble.

The goal of ChestView is to provide a cheaper alternative to buying a whole separate camera or recording device for any POV recordings.

The phone mount design is based on "Modular Mounting System" by HeyVye, details can be found in the remix sources.

3D Printing Settings

• Filament: PETG recommended, as it holds up better under constant clamping pressure against the phone (PLA may become brittle over time).
• Infill: 15% (Grid), good balance of strength and filament use.
• Wall and Perimeters: Minimum of 3 walls for both non-threaded and threaded parts.
• Layer height:0.2 mm for standard parts, and 0.12 mm for all parts in the 'threaded parts' folder. This ensures better thread accuracy.
• Supports: As needed based on model orientation
• Orientation: Refer to the images for proper placement and orientation of the parts.
