Description
Fujica X-Mount to Nikon Z-Mount Adapter
Fujica X-mount (circa 1970s–1985, not to be confused with the confusingly similarly-named 2010s-era Fujifilm X-mount) to Nikon Z-mount adapter.
Thanks to gmcbay for their work on modeling the Fujica X mount.
I've made a few different iterations of this model, but have kept the Fuji X side as an interference fit (though I made it a little easier to assemble). With my X-Fujinon 55mm f2.2, the lens tabs bite into the upper layer of the Fuji X bayonet and remove some material — this results in a very tight fit, but with some muscle to first assemble.
The Nikon Z side fits perfectly on my camera and has both the clocking/alignment dimple on the outside diameter and the locking/retention mechanism on the seating face of the mount.
Print Tips
- Print Z-mount side down
- Use supports — make sure your slicer doesn't remove small overhangs
- Printed in ASA at 100.7% scale, achieved a near-perfect fit
Assembly Tips
- Mount the X-mount side first. Using a lighter to heat the tabs can make it much easier to assemble and reduces debris
- MAKE SURE THE X-MOUNT APERTURE TAB IS PUSHING THE APERTURE LEVER TO ITS MAX POSITION (see picture). If you skip this, the manual aperture ring won't function through its full range (or at all)
- Thoroughly clean the adapter and lens of debris before mounting to your camera
