Lomography Fisheye No.2 35mm to M39 Leica Thread Mount Adapter

Description

A 3D printed adapter designed to mount the Lomography Fisheye No.2 35mm film lens system onto the Leica M39 LTM screw mount standard.

This allows the circular 170 degree fisheye lens from the Lomography 35mm film point and shoot camera to be adapted for use on Leica thread mount cameras and other systems that accept M39 LTM lenses, including digital mirrorless cameras when paired with standard M39 adapters.

Important build and modification notes

This is a highly experimental conversion project and requires irreversible modification of the original Lomography camera.

The lens must be physically removed from its original point and shoot camera. This involves destructive disassembly of the donor camera, including cutting or grinding parts of the original plastic or internal mounting structure to extract the optical assembly.

This process is not reversible and will destroy the original camera.

Only attempt this if:

You are using a non working or expendable donor camera

You fully understand the risks involved in mechanical disassembly and lens extraction

You are comfortable performing precision modification work such as cutting, sanding, or Dremel based removal

Fitment notes

Once the donor lens has been fully extracted and cleaned up, the adapter allows the lens assembly to simply slide into place.

The Lomography Fisheye No.2 version is the preferred donor model, as its metal lens housing provides a natural cutoff point for modification. If all surrounding plastic is carefully removed up to the metal rim, the lens will seat correctly into the adapter with a secure fit.
