This 3D printable inner passenger door handle replacement for the VW Golf 4 / Jetta MK4 is designed for two key upgrades: integrated ambient lighting and quick-release access. The design features a recessed channel specifically to house a strip of LED tape, allowing you to add subtle lighting to your door pull. Additionally, the assembly uses small, powerful magnets rather than screws to mount the base plate, enabling easy removal for cleaning or accessing the inner door panel without tools.
> 💡 Fit & NVH Notes:
> * There is a small gap between the cushion and the part, so it is recommended to add rubber tape for a tighter and better fit.
> * It is also recommended to add foam where the screws attach to the door metal to significantly reduce noise and vibrations.
Additional Required Components (Not Included)
* LED Tape: Source and cut a length of suitable LED tape to fit the internal channel.
* Magnets: 8x Neodymium magnets, Ø5mm x 2mm (diameter x thickness) required total to secure the handle to the base.
* Adhesive: CA glue (superglue) to permanently set the magnets into their mounting holes.
Printing Recommendations
Material: ABS is highly recommended for durability and temperature resistance. PLA will warp under direct sunlight or extreme cabin heat.*

Post-Processing & Assembly
1. Surface Prep: Sanding the surface and applying an automotive primer prior to final paint is recommended to match your car's interior finish.
2. Clean Extrusions: Ensure the magnet holes are entirely clear of stringing or support artifacts before inserting the magnets.
3. Polarity Check: Pay close attention to magnet polarity! Ensure the magnets are oriented correctly so they attract and pull the pieces together rather than repelling.
