A remix of XboxOldie's screwable ball-joint GoPro mounting system, featuring a redesigned tightening nut with deeper/wider grip grooves for easier hand-tightening and improved printability, and a ball with an integrated 1/4"-20 UNC female thread for direct mounting to standard camera tripods, magic arms, and other photography accessories. All parts are fully compatible with the originals — reprint only what you need.

Description

This remix builds on XboxOldie's excellent screwable ball-joint system and adds two key improvements:

• Redesigned tightening nut — larger and deeper grip grooves fix a print quality issue which was the case for me: the original grooves were too fine to print accurately, resulting in a smooth and slippery nut. This remix makes the grooves reliably printable on common FDM printers including the Creality K1C.
• 1/4"-20 UNC female thread in the ball — lets you mount the joint directly onto any standard camera tripod screw, ball head, magic arm, or other 1/4" photography accessory — no adapter needed. The 1/4"-20 UNC thread (pitch 1.27 mm, nominal diameter 6.35 mm) is the international standard camera mounting thread per ISO 1222.
• Full compatibility — all remixed parts are fully compatible with the original source files. Mix and match freely — no need to reprint parts from the original that are already working for you.
