Important: For a standard LowRider V4 CNC build, the Jackpot 3 controller is generally the recommended option due to its simplicity and straightforward assembly process.
This enclosure is intended for builders who specifically want to use the 6x CNC Controller for FluidNC and/or external stepper drivers. While this setup offers additional flexibility and features, it is not part of the standard LowRider V4 design and will likely require additional configuration work.
If you choose this route, expect to create or modify your own FluidNC configuration files, adapt the wiring as needed, and perform additional testing and troubleshooting compared to a standard Jackpot-based build.

This is a remix of a controller box for the LowRider V4 CNC design to fit the 6x CNC Controller for FluidNC.
The enclosure is based on this design, but has been enlarged to accommodate the larger controller board. As a result, the box protrudes slightly beyond the rear brace. If your CNC table has limited clearance at the ends, be aware that the enclosure may interfere with nearby objects.
This remixed enclosure also supports the Airedale IO Expander and the FluidNC Pendant Display Module. If you plan to stack the Airedale board on top of the controller, be sure to use the included Airedale support bracket.
Cooling fans should not be necessary when using this controller with external stepper drivers, as the driver heat is dissipated outside of the enclosure. However, I have included an alternative cover with fan mounting holes for users who prefer active ventilation or wish to add extra cooling.
Also included is an angled external driver mount designed for DM542 and DM556 stepper drivers. The mount is intended to be installed between the machine braces, as shown in the photos, preventing interference with cable routing and the vacuum hose that runs above the braces.
Important: The driver mounts should be printed in PETG rather than PLA, as stepper drivers can reach temperatures of around 60°C during extended heavy operation.
