Description
This is a 5Ah battery the same approx size as a BL1830, just 100gm heavier. This will fit in every 18V Makita tool and also any other brand power tool via adapter. Designed for to outperform brand name batteries. (Testing will follow l) Used two brands of 5Ah cells Reliance INR-21700 RS50 70A and Tenpower INR-21700 50XG 90A (140A pulse) both have 75-80C cut off. It gets up to 50C in the summer. Heat dissipation is crucial, .2mm thermal tape, .5mm thermal pads, and thermal grease. Welded 2mm copper tabs. Metal zip ties (screws always fail with FDM) (dial up max tension on the banding tool) a flexible spacer 83- 85A TPU/TPE between the case and top to compensate for the nature of FDM printed parts.
20W fiber laser used to cut the copper, fish tape, and to mark the batteries. Used Polymaker HT-PLA for button, and BMS mount and HT-PLA-GF for case. 85A TPU for spacer. Spring .8x8x15, M3 self threading 5-8mm long, 22AWG wire, stainless steel painted white 18” metal zip ties, Battery meters, and BMS PCB from ali express 3$ a piece. The battery meter can be soldered on to PCB first then fed through the battery case, then secured with some RTV. Used text for marking no vector file.
