Overview

Tired of the Z-axis gantry swaying like a mast when printing at high speeds on your Ender 3 V3 SE or KE? If you installed the YOOPAI Support Rod Kit to stiffen up your frame, you quickly realized it completely blocks standard side-mounted spool holder mods.

This is the SR1 (Support Rod Version 1) mod. It is a complete redesign of my original side mount, engineered specifically to work alongside the YOOPAI stabilizing bars. It provides a rock-solid, toolless, and clean setup that shifts the center of gravity down without sacrificing frame stability.

The Snap-On Side Mount (SR1)

Unlike the previous version which slid under the printer base, the SR1 mount snaps directly onto the lower section of the YOOPAI aluminum support rods.

Zero Hardware Required: No screws, no tools, and no fuss. It utilizes the tight tolerances of the YOOPAI kit to snap firmly into place.

Counter-Torque Design: The geometry features a custom bottom brace that anchors perfectly into the lower frame cavity, completely countering the rotational torque of a heavy spool.

100% Support-Free: Print it flat on its side exactly as oriented in the STL. It requires zero support material and prints in under 2 hours.

High Capacity: Easily handles standard 1kg spools with no bending or sagging.

The Upgraded Filament Guide

Because the YOOPAI kit replaces the stock top plastic brackets with rigid steel plates, the filament guide has been completely redesigned to utilize this new geometry.

Magnetic Option: The new guide features a built-in slot tailored for a 40mm bar magnet. If you love utilizing magnets for a secure hold, this is for you (though it sits securely on the steel plate even without one).

Two Versions Included:

1. The Roller Guide: Features an optional slot for a standard U-bearing for ultra-smooth filament movement.

2. The Simple Loop Guide: A quick, minimalist print that smoothly routes the filament without extra hardware.

Both guide options take less than 15 minutes to print!

Print Settings

Infill: 20% to 25% (Grid or Gyroid recommended for structural rigidity)

Supports: NONE. Both the mount and the guides are optimized to print entirely support-free.

Material: PLA, PLA+, or PETG work perfectly.
