Description

This project is inspired by battery operated tools and cheap rechargable batteries. The readily available 18650 partners up with a usb-c charge/discharge board and has modularity powered by zoo design studio. This 3D-Printable design consists of 4 main parts which assemble to become a swappable battery system for your many arduino/raspi/electronics projects.

The cell box is meant to hold a 18650 li-ion battery (although can be resized if needed) and fastens to the cover which is a dovetail slot with a usb-c port compartment. This compartment is neatly lined up with it's partner dovetail peice, the "tool-connector"; which essentially holds the usb-c plug that connects to our cell's board. Together they make a ultra simple battery connector that holds your battery onto your project's custom case.

My current version uses 1.75mm filament for fastening the cases to their connectors, but given that they wear out pretty quickly I'd recommend adjusting the walls to a larger thickness and screwRadius to fit an M2.5 screw or whatever you have handy.

Note that a nice side effect of using this usb-c board is that all you do to charge your project battery is plug it in to a usb-c charger.
