Overview
Hello everyone! I have designed a conceptual Main Gearbox (MGB) for a helicopter. This gearbox is engineered to take a high-speed input from a turbojet engine and efficiently step it down to the operational speeds required for both the main rotor and the tail rotor.
Technical Specifications & Gear Ratios
Input Speed (Turbojet Engine): 23,000 RPM
Tail Rotor Output Speed: 2,300 RPM (10:1 reduction ratio)
Main Rotor Output Speed: 317 RPM (approx. 72.5:1 reduction ratio)

The design was created entirely in Autodesk Fusion 360. I am sharing the .f3z archive file, which includes the complete assembly. By downloading this file, you can fully inspect the internal gear mechanics, modify the design, or adapt it for your own RC helicopter builds and engineering projects. I have also uploaded rendered images so you can see the final look of the assembly.
