Description

Posting to reference this to another location for the full project details. But, at the very least i hope to provide something that can be used just for the screw spacing and camera cutout for rpi and rpi camera as it turned out perfect. Hoping to add fan and screen mounted on box in future.

->4 screw holes to mount the mount plate onto something if needed (countersunk 90 deg taper)

->4 screw holes for Rpi 2b

->4 screw holes and cutout for Rpi camera (works for 2 & 3 never tried a 1)

->Extra space + 2 holes for a battery pack and extra wiring. made it custom for a plant imaging project and works exactly how I need it to.

->screw holes around outside if you want to put a box/cover on, but currently those are too close to the edge (not diameter x 1.5 away) meaning the holes may rip open if you are not very careful - they are for m3 threads (2.8mm unthreaded), and if you are interested at least 10mm long for most screws/bolts needed in this model.

Also, the cover does not have cutouts for the I/o for the pi - I made the I/o sit directly at the edge of the mount plate so the box won't sit over it. I used a dremel with a cutting tool and cut out a shape for the rpi usb ports/ethernet side for this first one so I wouldn't be guessing on all three lining up: my mount hole location on mount plate + box cover cutout + potential extra size/clearance of things I'm plugging in.
