Dust Collection System for Lunyee 3018 Pro Ultra CNC

A complete 3D-printed dust collection setup that I designed for my

Lunyee 3018 Pro Ultra. The system connects a standard household

vacuum cleaner to the CNC, keeping the workspace clean and protecting

your lungs from MDF, wood, and PCB dust.

What's included:

1. Vacuum Hose Adapter

Adapts a thick standard vacuum hose to a thin electrical cable trunking

(the kind you find in any hardware store). The thin tube is much easier

to route close to the spindle without obstructing the work area.

2. Dovetail Sliding Mount

Bolts onto the spindle holder. Features a dovetail rail that allows

the nozzle assembly to slide up and down, so the suction stays close

to the cutter at any Z height.

3. Flexible TPU Nozzle

Printed in TPU (flexible filament) for safety — if the spinning bit

accidentally contacts the nozzle, it bends instead of shattering.

No flying plastic shards near your face.

Print settings:

• Material: PLA or PETG for adapter and mount, TPU 95A for the nozzle
• Layer height: 0.2 mm
• Infill: 30–40%
• Walls: 3 perimeters
• Supports: only on the dovetail mount (minimal)

Hardware needed:

• 2× M4 bolts and nuts for the dovetail mount
• Vacuum cleaner (I used a 1600W Samsung with variable speed)
• Standard PVC electrical cable trunking as the suction tube

Notes:

The TPU nozzle works great for general milling, but for PCB engraving

I'm currently designing dedicated low-profile nozzles — they will be

uploaded as a separate remix once tested.

Designed in Fusion 360. STL and STEP files are included so you can

modify the design to fit other CNC machines with similar spindle

mounts.
