Traditional Incense Trail Tool Set (No Supports!) / Incense Seal Kit

Traditionally used in Asian incense ceremonies (Xiang Dao), this kit allows you to create a perfect, continuous burning trail of incense powder over a bed of white ash.

Included in this set:

1. Ash Tamper (Base Press): Used to prepare the incense burner by flattening and tamping the ash bed into a smooth, even surface.

2. S-Shape Stencil (Incense Mold): Features a continuous meander path without sharp corners to ensure an even burn. It includes ergonomic, rounded lifting knobs so you can lift the stencil cleanly without disturbing the powder.

3. Precision Stencil Press (Powder Tamper): The crown jewel of the set. This mirrored press fits perfectly inside the stencil (with a 0.25 mm clearance on each side). Use it to compress the incense powder into a solid, continuous trail before carefully lifting the stencil.

INSTRUCTIONS

Orientation: Print all models UPSIDE DOWN. The flat top of the handles/knobs MUST lay flat on the build plate. The models are designed with special 45-degree chamfers and tear-drop shapes so they will print perfectly without any support material.

Supports: Designs 1 &2 print fine without any supports, as for the design 3, though it is theoretically safe, I did use supports as the head of the press is quite heavy.

Ironing: Enable "Ironing for topmost surface" in your slicer (e.g., PrusaSlicer). Since the models are printed upside down, the topmost printed layer is the part that will touch the ash and powder. Ironing makes it perfectly smooth, preventing the powder from getting stuck in the layer lines.

Perimeters: Set to at least 3 or 4 perimeters. This will make the vertical handles solid and highly resistant to snapping.

Infill: * For the Stencil: 15-20% is fine.

For the Tampers/Presses: Consider 50-100% infill to give the tools a nice, heavy, premium feel in your hand.

Layer Height: 0.15mm or 0.20mm works great. Use Variable Layer Height (adaptive layer height) on the top curves of the knobs for a smooth ergonomic finish.
