Mini EGG - Benchtop CNC Mill with Epoxy Granite Frame

Note: This is a work in progress.

Small benchtop CNC design with an epoxy granite cast frame similar to the FS3MG frame. Designed to cut aluminum, not steel.

Specs:

Travel: 240x240x120mm (probably be smaller after adding stops, covers, etc)

Epoxy granite frame: 70mm thick, 400mm cube, no metal inserts to mount rails

Spindle: 220V, 2.2kW, VFD

Linear rails: Chinese HGR20's

Stepper motors: NEMA 23, 2.4Nm (340oz-in)

Ball screws: Chinese SFU1605

Belts: GT2, 3mm pitch, 9mm wide, 2:1 ratio

Mounting plates: 15mm MIC6 Aluminum. Stepper motor mounts are just 6mm rolled Al.

Control board: BigTreeTech Scylla (with integrated TMC2160 drivers)
