WORK IN PROGRESS !! . 3/11/2026

100% designed by me as a Low Hardware. Basic CNC robotics frame for drawing machine, laser, plasma etc.

Required Hardware

2x Aluminum extrusions size 2040 1000mm or whatever.. you want your X length to be.

9x Aluminum extrusions size 2020 600mm or whatever you want your Y length to be.

M5 bolts kit. with random sizes.

M5 extrusion lock in nut kit. for 2020 extrusions.

2x NEMA 17 steppers

2x geared sprockets

4x rod dowels size 5mm

2x Beefy HGH20CA rails. Sorry they were the cheapest at 1000mm you could edit the F3d file to easily make them for MGN12 there is a template in the file for MGN12 as the Y uses that.

1x MGN12 600mm or whatever you want your Y Length to be. I just wanted it to be liter weight to I didn't use a huge HGH20CA

I'm not including the Motherboard mount because this project only contains the basic frame Please download one of my mother board mounts, or make your own motherboard mount, or download one I already made. (

I will be using my old low hardware motherboard mount because I'm using this with an old SKR 1.3

Required hardware for it is 4 m3 bolts and nuts and 2 zip ties.)

If You are going to run it as a drawing machine I've included the Y mount parts for a robotic gripper arm to hold pens or pencils straight down not at an angle.

The required parts for the gripper arm are:

2x, 100mm rod with a 5mm diameter.

2x, linier rod bearings with a 5mm diameter inner diameter. and a 11mm height.

2x, 40KG servo's

4x, 3mm bolts short ones like 5mm long or whatever to connect to the MGN12 trolly.

Changelog progress report:

All CNC related parts work and fit.

Removed Pen Gripper part going to list it as a different Thing.

Possible update. make the vertical surface near the bolts on Y motor mount like 1mm thinner so the bolt is a little easier to insert. But not necessary.
