Description

Vibration motor mount to use both rotors from old PS3 remote - both are 24.5mm diameter motors meant to run on 3V but in this case overvolted to 9V (pretty safe) using SimHub you can connect those to arduino board as PWM motors (see TIP120 transistors) . Then you can assign effects as ABS, wheel spin, lock, rpm and others to add immersive effect.

You will need 2 M4x10 bolts for each pedal.

I used motor with bigger counterweight for brake pedal, and smaller one for gas.

Also I used a 9Volt power adapter of 2A (ground must be connected with arduino ground) to give it a bit more kick. Even thinking of using 12V. Those motors can handle much more power than designed for for short period of time. After a few hour gameplay motors do warm up a little but that is barely detectable by hand.

Print instructions : (PLA not recommended) use PETG, ABS or something like that.

Print on one side without supports. You might need to work on holes with a drill.

Motor can be mounted with superglue, hot glue or almost any another.

It is highly recommended to use flexible wire with at least 1mm2 width, as wire resistance will impact perception of high frequency PWM signal. (think of it as an audio cable for a speaker)
