Use Ferrex battery with Parkside tools

ADAPTER FOR FERREX BATTERY and PARKSIDE TOOLS by Miroslav Kuharic 26.12.2025 - 16.01.2026

In Hoffer(Aldi) stores was a sale of ferrex batterys 5Ah and chargers. I decided to buy them, and fit them to Parkside tools.

Here is a model of adapter, witch fits grate for me. I hope, that can be usefull also for you dear people.

Model Tips:

My goal was to make an adapter, wich can be print in one pice, simple to build, more or less estetic and most important functional.

There are two typs of model. First is ment for permanent use of adapter. So it is more estetic and closed. Removing is possible when battery is removed. Other type of adapter can be remowed with battery on. File starts with parameters, wich alowe you to change model type, type of connecting wire, dimension of contacts, fixing clearance on ferrex and workzone side. Parameters are set for my last print, wich fits grate for me.

Print Tips:

Printing orientation - model is orientated and ready for print. I'm using PETG, better layer sticking compared to ABS and stiffer. Build plate 65°C, hot end 240°C.

So the longest side is printed at Z axis. It is slightly at angel. Also 15 mm brim has been used for good attachment.I'm using 0.2mm layer.

Support for angel over 80°, retraction is on, and cooling is needed at height 350(50% works fine for me), when starts printing male contacts seat.

Building Tip:

female contacts were purchased on Ali express https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005002121948152.htmlspm=a2g0o.order_detail.order_detail_item.3.2a8bf19cYFon0S

for male contacts were used faston male 6.3mm terminals, also you can use copper plate to made main terminals. you can pricut it in lenght(on inserted side) and bend top side of contact each to other (+1 to +2, -1 to -2) and solder them with wire. Seal with hot glue.

You need to solder NTC resistor 10k betven the minus and T terminal. In the center of inside of the model is grove for NTC. Please take care of insulation. At list cover contacts and uninsulated wire with hot glue. Ferrex has complex comunication betven charger and battery and is using T terminal for communication, so you can not reed the anlog value. Improvements:

Cover can be generated to cover and protect contacts(short circuits protection). You are welcome to improve this model.
