Description

FPV Tiny Tank using a 18650 Li-ion cell

This is a FPV RC tiny tank designed with an idea of having a small form factor while providing longer driving times than other similar tanks using a LiPo battery. The 18650 Li-ion cell has a high energy density, which gives an opportunity to undertake "long range" missions with the tank. Personal experience shows that a 3200 mah cell let's you easily drive this for more than an hour. The tank also has controllable front LED lights.

Hardware:

  • 2x M3x20mm screw (for passive wheels)
  • 2x M2x6mm screw (for drive wheels)
  • 4x M3x15mm screw (for connecting base and top chassis)
  • 6x M3 4.2mm diameter heat insert nuts (2 for passive wheels and 4 for chassis connection) https://shorturl.at/cjC56

Notes:

  • Servo motors need to be modified for 360 degree rotation (there are plenty of tutorials on youtube)
  • Top chassis and battery cover are connected with a single 1.75mm filament piece
  • Every part except the tracks is printed with regular PLA. Tracks are printed out of flexible TPU
  • More track designs coming soon!
